Process or Result: Which one is better
Process or Result: Which one is
better
Many people work, too oriented
and focused, on achieving the result rather than give the best at the process.
Personally, I prefer giving my whole mind into the process instead of forcing
myself to achieve the result at work. I believe the whole process is much more
important than a result. It might seem peculiar but I just want to explain further
why it is better to focus in the process than the result based on my insight
and paradigm.
Orienting in the
process inevitably prevents you to sink in overwhelming stress and depression.
Many of ambitious-people get stress and anxious because they just solely focus
on what they want to achieve. It will surely hypnotize their mind into negativity.
For instance, a lot of my friend set a high standard for their own minimum score
like A or >90 when they do a test. It is basically not something-wrong but
it surely makes them either disappointed or ungrateful unless they get their
own-minimum score. What I want to emphasize is. It is still acceptable for you
to keep setting the standard before taking the test thus you have your personal
goal but the highlight is to keep doing your best and pushing at the whole
process. In this case you should barely think the result that you want to get, let
it disappear, enjoy the process, do the best, forth appreciate yourself for what
you have done. Studying is not about getting a high score. Moreover, you get
new-positive things e.g. good attitudes: hard working, determination, faith,
and positive thinking, experience as well as joy. I persistently believe that
if I do my best at the process, the result inherently will not betray it. Not
of all time we always can be the best among people but we can always be the
best version of us and it is merely satisfying and relieving if we have done
our best although the result is not as outstanding as we expect. Let us not judge the success based on the result but on the whole process. You are success if you gain new-remarkable lessons for your life.
Focusing at the result
prevents us from cheating. In my senior high school, most of the tests are hard
and the school competition is highly-competitive. The students are really
oriented to get high ranks by achieving awesome score. Unfortunately, many of
them choose the instant way through cheating on the test. They will not learn
as much as they have to and as a result they scarcely develop. When you massively
too focus on the result, you become compelled. It urges you to get the result
that you want, subsequently you will be depressed. For me, it is better to walk
along through the long yet meaningful process. Honestly, I usually set my goal
which is herein my minimum score. It is purposely functioned to motivate and
guide me to the finish line but it is not a mandatory for me to fulfill the
goals for some excuses. I assertively suggest you to keep this quote in mind:
What get easy will not stay long, what stay long do not get easy. Moreover do
not feel tired for the long process and never get lured for the
instant-temptations. The long way process creates the priceless experience and
value for the entire life. Simultaneously, it will undoubtedly evoke the result.
That’s it. Hope my
writing can inspire you guys to pay more attention at the process as well as to
work harder and keep pushing.
